City Of Bones– Cassandra Clare

After reading this book our book club got together to discuss the events and character developments of the story. We found that at the beginning of the novel we were instantly plunged in to the story and as you read on you learn more about the intricate story line and the complicated relationships between characters. Since our club is interested in anything that tells a story we decided to compare the plot structure of the book with that of the series to see how they differed. We concluded that many of the scenes that transpired in the series either did not happen, or took place later, in the novel. One of the members of the club, who had only seen the series, was ‘series-ly’ shocked to discover that they were missing out on several plot points from the book. The 1001 Story Club would thoroughly recommend you take the train to Brooklyn, smash a random window and jump into the world of demons, angels and everything in between!
